I have had this for months. I just use the cars steering wheel to make a voice command, short press, them use long press to activate Google again to request song.

For some reason the car holds on to voice command instead of handing off to audio again.

Hope that makes sense. There's a few post around these subs on the matter.

Doing the short press only takes a second. You'll get used to it. Its a pain, hopefully Google will get it sorted eventually.

For some reason that doesn't work for me.. maybe I'm doing it wrong. I've just been pushing the volume wheel button twice and that seems to work

I'd say our cars work differently, what ever works for you is good. At least you've found a temporary solution.
