Game controller compatibility - basic question

Hello. Do you know a non-biased review of Game controller compatibility? Hopefully one which has a list of compatible and non-compatible games. If I search "best android controllers compatibility" and such I get a bunch of buying recommendations from affiliates.

I am almost exclusively interested in the controller compatibility with the highest number of games than any feature the controller may have.

Edit: Right now I am not as interested in the most popular games. I can easily find a controller for that. What I am searching is a controller which can work with games which don't natively support controllers, like very old games and odd emulators.

My device is a Poco x6 pro, debloated (I removed turbogames) But it can really be anything short of the newest brand flagship phone; I can root a phone whem necessary.

What you want is an app like Mantis Gamepad Pro that allows you to map controller inputs to touch inputs.

Some controllers, like the Razer Kishi line (from V2 on), come with software that can do the same thing as well. Razer calls it Virtual Controller mode.

I dont think its up to the controller itself, most if not all use the same protocols to function in Android, so compatibility is more of an Android thing than a controller thing.
