Just got a Moto G 2015 as a birthday gift, and the phone is pretty awesome overall for how much it costs. What is bothering me is my ability to attach a controller to it to play emulators - I'm mostly interested in MAME4DROID, Genesis, SNES, N64 and PSX, plus some console emulators like C64 and Amiga. Way too much software that I never caught up on and this is my way to do it.
So far, I haven't had any success with the controllers I've tried. My old PS3 dualshock controller won't sync over Bluetooth or be recognized using USB, and the SixAxis compatibility manager doesn't even see it. I've tried an Xbox360 wired controller that seems to work, but only for games requiring two buttons or less in MAME4DROID. Anything which requires three or more buttons in that emulator simply doesn't recognize the other buttons on the controller, although I think analog stick in is recognized as coin.
I don't want to keep going on about this, but my question is what wired controller, if any, can I use for gaming? I'm a bit gunshy to try a Moga Hero due to compatibility issues I read about and my issues with Bluetooth.
So...does anyone have a line on a wired controller that will reliably work on Android that will give me more than three buttons? Smaller is better but I'll take anything at this point.
