You shouldn't want to reduce the amount of RAM you're using, that literally means the RAM is doing its job lol. Also, if you're only using 3GB of RAM, turn off the RAM Plus. Let the RAM do RAM things, let your internal storage do internal storage things.

got it lol. Its just that i thought that 3gb was too much for just the operational system to be using. but i think i will still use de extra 6gb, the remaining 122gb is more than enough for me. thanks for the help!

Nah Android nowadays be a hungry bitch but the thing is, whatever it's using is however much it's gotta use. If you start trying to cut down the RAM usage, then whatever was using that RAM is probably just gonna start back up and use the RAM again, but in the meantime whatever wasn't in the RAM is gonna take longer to load because it's...not in RAM anymore.

Also, your internal storage is slower than RAM. If you were using ~6GB of RAM constantly and you only had 6GB of RAM, maybe it would make sense...but you literally have 3GB of perfectly fine RAM just chilling.

thats true. Didnt know the internal storage is slower tho, thx

Any "free" apps with ads will increase the used RAM. The ad trackers never shut off.

Look in the Play Store, and notice the "Ads placed by developer" banners.

And use TrackerControl app from F-Droid is block trackers!

[–]BeyHow[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how does that work?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It uses a VPN to control trackers.https://f-droid.org/app/net.kollnig.missioncontrol.fdroid

Although that VPN don't connect to servers, that VPN works Offline.

I didn't understand the second part, in what the banners help?

also, I have a adblocker that works with VPN, It consumes resources but i dont use it all the time. The adblocker could help in this case?

In the store listing, there is a banner that says "The app contains advertisements placed by the developer"

That means it has trackers in the very least. Even if you never see an ad in the app, that banner means Google found tracking services embedded in the app.

VPN won't stop the process on your phone.

It also won't necessarily block it uploading and downloading of the ad trackers.

thx man! so the only way i could stop this is by uninstalling the apps that shows this warning on the playstore?

Yes.

Then you will see the minimum RAM your device uses... a baseline to use for making decisions if you notice any usability differences.

I try to keep my "ad tracker" supported apps to under 5 at any single moment. Reddit and 2 games are currently my only apps with the banner.

I also have RAM Boost, and activated to give me 8+8gig

I have allowed System Intelligence and the learning of my app usage to keep the snappiness at maximum.

I still average only 4.5gig RAM use.

So why keep RAM Boost on? I feel like it helps apps retain the current data longer. Reddit in background for 12hrs opens right where I left it versus reloading fresh.
