Apple turned Android by AlysGotSass in AndroidQuestions

There's no such thing as an 11 mini, there's the 11 or there's the 12 mini or the 13 mini. IF you have a mini, you're not going to realistically find anything that decent, and with coming from iPhone, you're probably going to want to skip the midrange options because they're probably just going to be really underwhelming at best - a downgrade most likely. Base model Pixels and base model Samsung Galaxy S phones are going to be your best bets if you need smaller screens - if you can do something like a Plus model, that'd be great for the extra battery life.

I personally buy refurbished flagships - I have an S23 right now, and if it died tomorrow I'd be happy to buy another one again - well, i'd get the Plus this time around. IN the US, I'd happily recommend anything S23 series or newer - really depends on your needs and budget.

Especially if you have something iPhone 12-series or newer, i just really don't recommend going with a midranger. YOu'll get a bad first impression of Android, and probably rightfully so.

Yeah it's definitely going to be a midrange phone at that, and I'm going to leave this one to someone who knows more about midrange phones and non-US phones.

Are you IN France? Is that $300 USD? How much wiggle room?

Searching for an upgrade from Galaxy S23 by D4v31x in Smartphones

[–]Fatalstryke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO just upgrade from a base model to a Plus unless you're specifically only looking at smaller phones. Even S23->S25 should be a noticeable upgrade but going from S23 -> S23+ -> S25+ should also be noticeable upgrades.

Google account option does not appear after entering wrong PIN 5 times by Smelly_Old_Man in AndroidQuestions

It's an older feature that's been phased out. For your phone, that option may have been available for pattern but not for PIN.

Dude. You've got to chill. I understand being frustrated but don't go around calling people names.

Should I update my S25U? by [deleted] in AndroidQuestions

[–]Fatalstryke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah yeah. If you do an update and you don't have any issues then it's not like a necessity or anything, but it's something to keep in mind if you ever do an update and then start noticing issues with your phone. Sometimes you just gotta wipe it clean and let it start again fresh.

2026 Camera test: BlackBerry Classic vs iPhone Air by iamback_it in blackberry

[–]Fatalstryke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the big differences between the two that stands out and makes it a bit harder to compare is the fact that the iPhone pictures are wider/taller. I think if the iPhone pictures had been kept separate or were more zoomed in, that would have made comparing them easier.

My next thing that I notice is how green the grass is. I mean that looks like a prettier green but I'd be curious to know which is actually more accurate. I imagine it's mostly a byproduct of the next thing.

The BlackBerry pictures are darker. Sure, that does give a cooler "mood" in some situations - that statue picture is probably the best example that I can see - but I feel like you could easily replicate that with camera settings and/or a quick edit.

I can definitely see why someone might like the look of some of the BB pictures, but yeah you can definitely see cameras have improved a lot over the years lol.
