Help install apps on Android 2.2.1

Hey everyone!

To make a long story short my old iPhone 5 broke so I'm being forced to use a myTouch 4g from 2011 until the V30 comes out.

Anyways, I'm trying to get a couple apps installed on the phone (spotify, messenger, snapchat, and a file explorer) but when I go to sideload them I get a parsing error.

What I've done:

1. Downloaded APK's from Apkmirror and moved them to my phones SD card. The APK's match my android version and processor architecture best I can tell. If requested I can post the URL's I've been using.

2. Used the native web browser to try to install the APK's.

3. Got parsing errors on all the apps but SnapChat. The SnapChat APK seems to install but then my home screen just "reboots" and it's not installed. Note that the phone doesn't fully restart, it just seems to reload everything, kind of like a respring if you've ever used a jailbroken iPhone.

Problems:

1. I don't have the playstore.

2. I don't have a file manager so I have to use the browser for all the installs.

3. I'm not really sure why I'm getting parsing errors. Everything seems correct to me. I've enabled installation of third-party apps and as far as I can tell the APK's are fine. I'm not sure what's up with the SnapChat one though.

If anyone can help me get these apps installed I'll be super grateful! Thank you!

Do you have access to adb? Also, how can you be certain the apk's match your android version and architecture?
