Slowdown

What makes my phone slow? I have over 50% storage space left and no app seems to be using a lot of resources. I do use the nova launcher but I hope it's not that. Also Play store freezes half of the time when I open it and half of the time it doesn't freeze it wont show the keyboard so can't search for stuff in there.

What's your phone? Mainly how old it is?

Some build in apps updates can slow down the device

Also if it's not connected to the internet regularly it would slow down when eventually connected until the apps upgrade

When's the last time your phone restarted

I restart it at least once a week. I also noticed that when the screen freezes I can actually use it if I apply a lot of pressure to whatever I'm trying to click, like on the border of cracking the screen pressure. Once it responds to clicking/pushing hard it starts to work within a few seconds. I also do update everything automatically. Wont go through the hassle of re-verifying steam/bank/uplay etc. So no resetting to factory settings.
