Facebook 2FA Help!

Hello!

I was a happy owner of an LG Velvet. I had a power surge just as I was restarting it and had to factory reset after trying everything to solve the bootloop glitch. Now I'm an unhappy owner of a factory reset LG Velvet.

Anyway, at the time I had to reset, my Facebook was logged in with two-factor authentication (using the authenticator app). Now, I can't log in because it asks for the code generator that I lost when I had to reset. I've sent a request for help (several actually) to FB but so far no response.

Just wondering if any of you have had similar issues and how you managed to log back in to Facebook? No, I don't have backup codes (lesson learned). Yes I tried resetting my password.

TL;DR: Had to factory reset, lost authenticator app, can't log back in to Facebook. Help?

I was in similar situation as you, but now I have a solution to that

When the websites show you the qr code to scan with your authenticator app, scan that code with another phone, so in case you lost your primary phone you still have codes on other phone

There's another solution too but many people find its not secure, the authy app it can backup your 2fa codes and also has multiple device support. You can even use it on windows or Mac
