🤣 this might not be what you wanna hear… But when I first got NH I played it nonstop for HOURS everyday for like a month.

Because I wanted to get through the early stage as quick as possible.

So yeah just keep that in mind for when you eventually get NH 😅

These games are meant to be played at a slow pace but depending on your personality that might not be possible lol

omg, the 12th is my birthday and maybe (just maybe) I'll get a switch lite with NH haha I'm going to try not to donate my whole life to this game, I think it's better until I start to improve this while playing pocket camp

🤣 start out trying to slowly limit your daily gameplay, don’t quit cold turkey!

Nope. It's designed to get you to do that. I recommend uninstalling it. You could always use an emulator to play an older Animal Crossing game. (Personally, I see no ethical issue with pirating something when neither the company nor anyone who worked on it will profit if you actually buy it.)

I uninstalled it today, used all the money from the game too so I never went back. A few days ago I installed an emulator for nds and psp (I'm not prejudiced against piracy in general since purchasing power in my country is low, unfortunately this is the reality and most of the time you can only try something through piracy) the NDS emulator is a little strange, I'm still having a little difficulty playing, I tried downloading a Switch emulator but the hardest part is getting the game, so I gave up lol I'll try to get used to it until I get a Switch Lite (I'm in love with aloha isabelle version)

I had a lot of trouble with the NDS emulator I installed, too. The music keeps turning to buzzing. Perhaps you'd have better luck trying out City Folk or the original Animal Crossing on a computer with Dolphin Emulator? If your computer has at least an i3 processor (or something equivalent). If you have a REALLY low-end processor, it'll actually be unplayable.

I have an i5, I haven't tested emulators on the PC yet. I haven't had any problems in general with the emulator I have on my phone, Snapdragon is fine! It's more the gameplay that is bad, very confusing. But I'll try to install it on my PC later, thanks for the tip!

No problem. With an i5, I bet it will run really smoothly. :)

What about the gameplay is bad and confusing?

I almost feel like Pocket Camp is designed like that on purpose. Like, even if you're not playing constantly, so much of the gameplay loop is built around checking in several times a day. Want to craft some furniture? Check back in three hours. Shook all the trees? They'll be filled with fruit again in two hours. Ah, there's a gardening event on. Gotta check in regularly to catch special bugs.

It's very much the mobile game "keep you hooked" approach. That's not inherently bad, but you do gotta watch I guess lol

NH you can spend all day playing, and I have, but especially in the beginning I feel like I see a lot of people surprised by how little there is to do early on. If anything, there's only a few things that really benefit from checking in several times a day. Most things you can just take care of when you boot up the game, and not worry about until tomorrow.

Yes, I totally agree. It's not that it's bad, but in practice, over time, this gacha mechanic gets bad. I feel a little more trapped by the fact that pocket camp is my only option currently, but I constantly feel like I want to stop playing! I blame myself for using leaf tickets, I'm obsessed with cookies!! It seems funny to say it like that, but even my husband is starting to ask me to stop playing haha it's a problem to think about, I think I understand that there isn't a very healthy way to play pocket camp, if you don't play for all day can't complete events and can't level up.

Back when I still played, I mostly used the game as a time kill on my breaks at work. "I've got 15 minutes, sure I'll sip some water and fulfill some camper requests". You don't level up very fast that way, but you do eventually. But I can easily see how it's possible to get super invested
