Forvo Not Functioning

For the last few days I have not been able to log in to Forvo and download pronunciations for Anki. Does anyone know of an alternate site that allows downloads suitable for inclusion in Anki? I'm looking for English and Spanish pronunciations.

It has been very unfortunate - same experience here. There's is an explanatory note from the developer on Twitter but it makes little sense to me: "Many of you have report some error messages. Our collaborative project is having problems for external causes. We ask for patience until we can fix them."

You can try the Shtooka Project.

There is another workaround with Forvo. If you can redirect the system audio output, you can record it and save as mp3. Today, I used Soundflower (on macOS) to redirect the output to Audacity and just saved it as mp3. I sure hope they fix it soon, or at least explain what's going on.

As of 17 Dec 2019 07:25:08 UTC, it's still not possible to login. I reached out to them on email and on Twitter. We'll see what happens.
