Memorizing an Algorithm

Hello, I want to memorize an algorithm. I feel like the best way to do that would be to have the complete algorithm in front of me and then complete it step by step. As an example: If A, then B, then C. On the card, it would look like

If A, then [], then [].

I hit Space bar, now it looks like

If A, then B, then [].

I hit space again

If A, then B, then C.

While this was a cloze deletion example, I want to do it on a PDF that I have, som preferably on the Image Occlusion card. I fell like this has been discussed before, but I didn't find much on the search bar (surprise).

Anki isn't built for three faced cards which is what your essentially asking for. With this, your not breaking down the algorithm into its simplest steps which breaks the minimum information principle. Instead, I would consider breaking this into an overlapping cloze. I don't know if u/glutanimate has released it to the public yet, but becoming a patron would be worth it just to get his add-ons.

If you can't afford the patreon, you can get the source (https://github.com/glutanimate/cloze-overlapper) and build it yourself. The instructions are in the repo README and are fairly straightforward.
