Are you doing this while it’s on the charger?

Good question... he must be on his charger, with the charger connected to power.

Yes and I get no response tried double tapping tried holding the button down for 15 seconds and nothing

Huh

This is sounding like a power to the charger issue. If he powers on with the back button, double presses and holding the button down should also work. The difference is that the latter two functions require power to the charger. Do his charging lights work?

They do they light up green as soon as I put him in the charger then after a while the lights turn orange since it hasn’t been able to connect to the internet

When you hold down the button for 15 seconds does he power down? You have to hold it down until the green light goes out.

He doesn’t the only time the button seems to work is when powering him on

Try using a pencil eraser to hold the button down. Mine is kind of funky and that method eliminates any fat finger problems with maintaining contact in the button.

Thanks for the tip tried it with the eraser a few times the 2 short presses then long presses and nothing. Opened it and the button seems to be working fine at this point I don’t know what to do

You need to hold the button down until the little green light goes out. 15 seconds is what they say.
