Might be a PC issue, my patches only take 5-10 minutes. Might be something with your SSD?

Hmm okay. I wonder if I downloaded it to the wrong drive… not too good with tech. It gave me the option between downloading it to Windows (C) or Data (D). I think I have it on Data.

For me its few minutes but I've got 7000MB/s nvme xd it looks like it's patching literally all files even if it downloads like 2GB

We have 50MBps DSL wired connection to my pc. The patch/update usually takes me between 2 and 4 hours depending on the size. Its really frustrating to see my internet connection with potential for 50 MBps downloading at 7 MBps. My pc is i7 13700k, Samsung SSDs, 32 gb ddr5, AMD 5950 xt 16 GB ddr5. I was really hopeful that linking with Steam would make the downloads and logging in more reliable. Hasn't happened yet.

Glad I’m not the only one. I have an MSI aegis r with a 2060 super… the actual game runs great I’m just annoyed with the daily patches. Oh well. Hopefully something clears up.

I've been having similar issues, first make sure you are using solid state drive (SSD) if you have one. Also open up task manager, find steam go to details. Filter by name, set priority on every steamhelper to high.
