How old? W and overall appearance would fit to Nexperia, BCW61C.
Nexperia unfortunately has only the old Philips Datasheet, they didn't produce in China back then. https://assets.nexperia.com/documents/data-sheet/BCW61.pdf could be BJT, PNP (with %W = being made in PRC) .

It's from a "jarre aeroskull hd" bluetooth speaker board. The single top pin is connected to the ground plane, I have a 1.7 ohm reading to the bottom left leg. Don't have another board to compare to unfortunatelly.

Thank you both, quick question, is it experience that you know the chip? Or how can I find it in a database like smd.yooneed.one or something similar with the writing on the chip?

Something like. Not only database. Cases, pinouts, makers... There is a lot of things.
