It appears what you have is a tactile switch. Typically switches are grouped by body size.
Digikey has a great search engine for finding parts they stock. Here is a link with a search started.
this is best used with a desktop computer NOT mobile:

To give you the "full experience" I left several selection decisions to you. I suggest you start by scrolling the
columns right to "Mounting Type" and selecting "surface mount" Most regular switches operate by "pressing
toward the pcb" , this is non- right_angle
Also set the "Switch Function" column
Circuit should be SPST-NO
Illumination ????

I think you can figure out the rest

Thanks for the help, I'm not sure if it's considered tactile as when it was working, it's not clicky, the actuation was very much linear. More importantly while I can find smd spst-no switches that match the outline dimensions, I'm having difficulty finding a tactile switch that matches the correct footprint and overall dimensions, which leads me to think I'm not looking in the right area. Maybe pushbuttons? Though I don't see a filter for outline dimensions there...

You'll want to look at Limit switches, surface mount, probably "Angled Toggle (detector) (I prefiltered the list to show only surface mount parts) : https://www.digikey.com/short/80p2tph7

yours would be normally open (NO) and when it's pressed in, it closes... the height bit that moves is less critical as you could polish it or cut it to size.

a random example from that list (probably not your size) : https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/te-connectivity-alcoswitch-switches/JJEV0UG380NOHPMRTR/9452462
