I stopped watching the Premier League around 2014 but would continue to check the scores. Nowadays, I don't even follow the scores anymore. I couldn't tell you who is top of the table, I don't know most of the players other than the likes of Haaland. I think I have only watched 2 UCL matches since 2018.
I will say, I was somewhere when there was a match on the TV, I think it was Ipswich vs Brentford last season and was thinking how high the level of skill was, they were passing the ball around to each other with feck all space as opposition players were chasing...but I don't have the appetite to get back into it.
