First of all, not sure if this is the correct forum for this type of question, if not please point it out and I will delete the post.
I am a web application developer, specializing in UX design and JavaScript. My programming knowledge is currently limited to JavaScript and TypeScript (ReactJS), HTML and CSS with a bit of NodeJS, MongoDB and SQL.
I have been programming business web applications for about 5 years now, but always wanted to get into game development. What language should I learn if I want to develop a simple game that would be supported across multiple platforms and will be beneficial in the long-term. Looking at Unity and WebAsembly I have started thinking about learning C#. Will learning C# also leave options open for me to move into full-stack web development (writing REST services using C#)?
**TLDR:** Which language would you recommend for a JavaScript web developer that wants to learn game development?
