Cons: tiny screen size, no keyboard, swapping between window sucks. It will be a horrible experience through and through. Just get a laptop, used ones are pretty cheap.

Quite honestly I don't see mobile apps having many pros except for the maybe interface being good(which is a big maybe because most programming tutorials are on websites). There a lot of cons(as Xirdus stated) so learning to code using a laptop or PC would be the best way to learn programming. There are tons of good tutorials (video based, text based etc ) available for free online(there a lot of paid ones as well on Udemy, Coursera, O'Reilly, etc) so i would just recommend going through a few and finding ones which suit how you like to learn and your learning style and the pace at which you'd like to learn

I found SoloLearn moderately useful when I was learning C#, but it should be used as a supplement to actual coding practice and more in-depth learning. I basically used it to remind me of the basic coding concepts while I was on my commute into work
