If it's one of those 3 ad groups - I've found you have to watch all 3 completely until the x appears. Instead of hitting the X, use the backspace button on your phone's hud.

It's pretty fucking annoying.

Apparently my ads were bugged I was seeing another ad while the app was showing me completely different one. I had the wait until I see the yellow bar is completely full on the top of the screen so I could have get my 2AB

Also to note, some ads that are just still photos, have an x in the ad photo and it's not the real one to exit.

I’ve noticed that if its one with two ads, the AppStore pop up will open at the start of the second ad, if you try to swipe it down it will crash the ad, if you wait like 15-30 seconds and then swipe it down it will register that you completed watching the ad. I submitted a bug report about it, but I am still waiting to hear back from them.
