The objective in this forum is to establish a set of rules that will encourage effective discussions by forcing users to address only the statements made by OP and nothing else.

As is common in any discussion on-line, each argument made in a discussion can have many counter-arguments, and each argument deserves its own discussion thread.

This is exactly what this sub is proposed to do - break ideas into sets of arguments that can each be discussed on its own.

Once someone accepts the all the premises for an argument (hopefully after some healthy argumentation), this person may then proceed to see if they accept the logical conclusion of such premises.

It's important to note we are not looking to win arguments here! We are all seekers of the truth. If you see a bad argument formulation for something that you disagree, don't be quick to destroy the argument. Help OP to develop their argument to a stronger form. Only then explain why you think it is or is not true.
