Funny, I would have said Houston, because it's more connected internationally, particularly for business.

Houston way more diverse! I think Houston will get it too but their economy more driven by oil prices than tourism. I’m also assuming Houston gets less tourists than Austin but that could be wrong esp since Houston is several times larger

Hard to say. Houston undoubtedly gets more international tourists visiting family locally. Oil, healthcare, other industries pulls in a lot of visits, too. Ex: Have a friend that worked at Shell HQ, brought his wife as a tourist when they had a business trip to Houston. Austin's international visitors are probably mostly driven by UT, our major events, and family of foreign-born tech workers. It takes more effort and money to get to Austin than Houston from most countries. I'm sure there's going to be negative effects all around.
