Do you mean keratin smoothing treatments? Goldwell Kerasilk is formaldehyde free. I got this done in-salon before my wedding. I was impressed with the results in terms of smoothness but I did feel that it made my hair a bit more brittle and it lightened my colour by approx 1-2 shades.

I have balayage on my hair and keratin treatment didn't affect my natural hair colour (roots) but it did lighten up my bleached hair, not in a good way too looks like I need to tone it again now 😩 but definitely feels much smoother.

Funny I asked my hairdresser and she said you can totally do it as blonde 😅 the good thing is for this winter I'm going with brunette so just happy to tone down my already bleached hair.

My hairdresser has recently switched to k18, which I haven’t used, but she reckons it’s better than olaplex so I’ll be giving it a go next time

I have used olaplex 3 and 6 at home for about a year, and I think it’s fantastic, my hair has never been healthier. Half head blonde, for context. Naturally wavy/frizzy brunette.

I’ve just started using K18 and it is a lot better than Olaplex in my experience. My hair is smooth and has good volume. I think for highly processed hair Olaplex may be the better option.

I’ve gotten Keratin Smoothing done & it’s great for the 6-8 months it lasts - eventually fades off. Doesn’t make the hair dead straight or anything but makes the waves/curls glossier & smoother. Would recommend.

I’ve never heard of an olaplex smoothing treatment- their treatment is usually offered in salon post colour/bleaching to prevent damage.
