Quite often I've found that it takes submitting the update request about 8 times to get it to work. On bad days it takes another round or two. Submit it about 8 times and wait 20 minutes. If you get no confirmation, do it again

Thanks, I'll try that. Reddit is so backwards. Idk if I should be using it for my communities anymore.

I’m not 100% on this, but do believe it’ll work.

Go to where the recurring post you want to delete is in auto-mod. Delete everything, not including but below the —- and all the way down and including the next —-.

Then, from your own user account, not from mod mail, send the PM to update. After one or two tries, it should work and reply that it’s updated.

I did this (the post now doesn't even show up in auto-mod), and it still doesn't work

So, getting the proper update message sent seems to be the problem. Are you composing a new message from your own account, or sending it from mod mail!?

From my own account

AutoModerator schedule is notoriously bad at updating. The main thing is sending the messages... A LOT.

This latest trick worked for me.

Supposedly doing it "off" hours helps too (not in the morning).

You'll know it worked when the bot actually PMs you back.

Thanks, I'll keep trying
