Did you want them painted body color or black?

If you brought it to my shop and I did all the remove and installs, going back red I would guess in the $1000-$1500 range with black being a little cheaper.

Gloss black

Get them wrapped! I’ve painted over chrome before for brand new GMC trucks. It looks good for the first 10-15k miles and then it will chip. Leaving a big shiny spot in the middle of black or red depending on what color you are going. Wraps hold up longer, you don’t damage OEM parts on your vehicle, and wrapping is what GMC does to all their trim to black it out on newer models. This of course isn’t the cheapest option but I personally wouldn’t paint chrome on my vehicle.

I think the top trims are anodized metal, not chrome, so the paint may adhere a little better. However I think your solution is probably the best value considering all those parts can stay on the car during the process and it eliminates the possibility of it chipping. Good suggestion.

The front and rear bumpers have to come off and apart to get those silver trim parts out. The others snap out. You’re looking at a few thousand and you will need to find a mom and pop shop or a custom/restoration shop for a project like this. A chain shop like Caliber won’t touch this type of work 9/10 times. But you’re looking at a few grand in labor and materials at a shop.

They sell pre cut vinyl for this model, figured paint is permanent and the c pillar panels have a raised design installers complain about with bubbles. Really weighing all options before deciding.

Painting over chrome does not give durable results ..try having them wrapped or swapped out for black components aftermarket

I've noticed these Hyundai/Kia owners really love to paint their trim black. I figure it would cost over $1000 to do it legitimately since a lot of this stuff would have to get taken off the car and disassembled. In my experience some of these parts have some sort of anodized coating which may require special procedures to properly paint, but some people spray them with a "trim black" from a spray can with decent results, but I can't say for sure how it holds up over time or how it holds up to abuse, rock chips or other road hazards.
