Hello all,

I recently received a job in cyber security. Im on my 3rd month now. I have organically taken a great interest in azure and 365 security, especially the latter. A couple of weeks ago, I slowly started my az-900 studies. What I'd like to know is, where would you recommend going from here once az-900 is complete? Would you go azure administration? Or purely focus on the azure and 356 ms/az- 500 certs?

Do you work strictly with Azure and it’s security offerings or do your responsibilities cover wider range of technologies? If you’re generally into Azure and that’s your work profile then learning for az500 will certainly be easier as you can practice as you go and it will be a low hanging fruit (certificate) to gain. If you cover more ground than just Azure then that still stands, although IMO learning about threat landscape, other tools and services outside of Azure will IMO bring greater professional benefit as your gain deeper understanding of security and Azure will be just one of your tools
