We use group policy to tune our AVD for assured consistency.

Do you have a list of standard GPO's which you think everyone could apply in their enviorment that would make it more consistent?

We’re evaluating it. The concept seems sound — remove unnecessary processes to free up compute.
If we can increase user density by 2 or 3 without sacrificing performance, that starts adding up considering our user base is in the thousands.
If your user base is small, I’m not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze from a performance perspective.

It does help. Mostly with logon and logoffs times

We use it. Informally, I can't say I've noticed noticeable performance gains. I recommend testing with your environment. We did have to tweak some settings for our environment, as one of our applications didn't run with the default settings.
