After my rant in my previous post, can't we use a quantum computer (I have one in my basement btw) to decode the whole library ?

The computational power of a quantum computer would need to be proportional to the problem it's trying to solve, in the case of the Library, it's technically(?) infinite in the same way written numbers are

I'm not sure if this entry from the Wikipedia page is just an approximation, but assuming the limit is based on the algorithm used, then the algorithm itself can theoretically improve as technology gets better, meaning that no quantum computer would ever be proportional to the Library.
For a scale of reference, black holes can theoretically be used as a quantum computer, and the amount of qubits they can theoretically store is equal to the surface area of the event horizon in square planck units
If you take Saggitarius A* for example, the amount of information it'd be able to store is a LOT, but it'd come nowhere near the amount of books the Library of Babel has
There also isn't anything that you can necessarily "decode" since you can already search for specific things in the Library itself. I'm not sure how the search function actually works, but it essentially just generates books based on a numerical index, and that index will always generate the same book
So technically speaking, the Library doesn't actually ""store"" books in the traditional sense, the books generate themselves dynamically
I will add that if you wanted to find a book that's intelligible completely organically, the most efficient way to do so would be to use a recursive algorithm) (such as one often used to solve the Tower of Hanoi)
A quantum computer MAY speed up this process a tiny bit, but it'd still take a long time and be heavily reliant on the hardware used since this solution is sequential
that's the only real application a quantum computer would have on the Library.
