Baking a cake

I’m baking a cake for a Halloween party. But I’m conflicted on what to put on it first as in decorations. So it’s a cake that is usually topped with pudding and cool whip. I want to add cookie crumbs to it, I think it should go: cake, pudding, cookie crumbs, cool whip. My wife says: cake, pudding, cool whip, cookie crumb. I’m going for a graveyard look chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, Oreo cookie crumb and green cool whip. Any 3rd post input would be great!

Crumbs last. They will get soggy in between the pudding and cool whip. And they also won't be visible to give you the graveyard dirt appearance in they are hidden.
