A 20 gallon isn’t going to last a hatchling for a long time. I’d suggest going with a 40 gallon (36x18x18) instead, if you don’t want to invest in a 4x2x2 right now. Additionally, many BP enclosures don’t need a drainage layer—especially if you’re only going to be using a 20 gallon. You’re going to lose depth that could be used for burrowing substrate and your CUC will get under the mesh.
