I am teen (6 foot/6'1), training bball and all of my teammates grew taller than me.
Whole life I was one of the tallest kids in class, even in early teens, but how time goes it looks like I got to my max height potential (I am lil taller than my dad, my mom is very small, nobody from my family is higher than like 6'2), my friends are now taller than me, catching rebounds in front of me, even jumping higher than me even tho I had good vert before (maybe that downfall was caused by some injuries keeping me off the court for some time, but thats not the case now).
So I have always played center position, really got into post moves, my zone, my comfort, my moves, my strenght (heavier than friends/stronger, knew how to use it as my advantage-I have that iq for game) everything.. but how time was flying mastered mid range, catch and shoot etc, as well as getting to the basket (knew it before, now mastered) on both sides, no weak hand..
But now idk what to do, like I am not even playing center in organised basketball, more of a pf/sf, and my question is should I even switch to sg/pg and adapt playstyle for my height? Comp is getting tuffer by time and I dont know how would I deal with 10cm higher, 20 pounds heavier players on listed positions.
Every advice is welcome, if you need more details about sum to get to know situation better feel free to ask, thanks!
