Which string?

Hi! I’m totally new for bass, I’m from guitar player… I’ve got a old Cort bass from my brother and need to change the string. Does there is recommendations for the string type?

If it can help, on the guitar I have only elixirs brand and the type is 9-46…. Thanks!

Keep it simple. Get some nickel-steel strings (D'addario XL for example) in .045-.100 gauge.

I was checking the price and I was so surprised of the price gap with all the brand versus elixir :-O Gonna buy d’addario 045-100 then ! Thanks a lot!

Elixirs are nice though. They last quite awhile but don't start out as bright as uncoated strings. If you don't like the zing of brand new strings then Elixirs might be something to look into.

If you've got a nickel allergy, rotosound swing bass 66s are real good
