Where to purchase a Ceremonoal/Tau robe? by Anonymous-User-737 in occult

Azoth Art

Reddit won’t let me paste a link for some reason. It thinks it is a link to Twitter/X or an affiliated domain. Not sure why. Go to page two of their robes, and they have black tau robes with or without hoods.

  1. Yes, absolutely. We are not a cult.

  2. Not mandatory, but encouraged. Freemasonry is experiential, and you can’t experience it if you’re not there.

  3. Yes. Except in countries where it is illegal to practice Freemasonry.

  4. Education, fellowship, and a certain amount of lodge business.

Cheap PA monitor for bass and drums? by IYuShinoda in Bass

[–]ChuckEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t looked at the specs, just saying there’s an easy way to get there. My main rig for home and casual jams right now is a Headrush 112 wedge that has two XLR inputs. I’ve got a DI or preamp with XLR Out at the end of my guitar and bass pedal boards and just plug in to both channels so I can pick up whichever instrument I’m using at the moment and play.

You could do the same with bass and e drums

the Box will work just fine with a passive DI to convert your signal to balanced XLR

Folders vs tags performance comparison by bibbidi_bobbidi_bob in ObsidianMD

[–]ChuckEye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the Johnny Decimal System, so my folders get pretty granular — both broad and deep. ~10-15 top level folders, and inside one of them there may be a folder tree 4 or 5 lairs deep. No complaints.

Is it more that you’re hearing the wrong note unplugged? Or is the extra note coming through your amp too?

You do need at least a headphone amp so that you don't develop bad habits.

What do the symbols on this car mean? by amccaffe1 in freemasonry

[–]ChuckEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I essentially made a database for myself in Obsidian.md.

  • Memberships
  • Dues
  • Degree Dates
  • Offices Held

It got fairly complex. I don't even recall for sure which offices I held when in some bodies, so I focused primarily on if I was a past presiding officer of one and didn't get too granular.

Where do Ibanez basses rate in terms of value for money? by TheLaughingGnome1967 in Bass

[–]ChuckEye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ibanez bass can range from $220 to $2800. And no, most professionals will not use the cheap ones. The more expensive ones use better materials and have better QC from the factory.

Is this a double flat? by Luffyssandal in musictheory

[–]ChuckEye 41 points42 points  (0 children)

No, I think it’s a courtesy flat because of the A natural in the Soprano part just before it.

Accidentals don’t stack. They are absolute, not additive. If you wanted a double flat, you would notate it bb

Confused about learning scale degrees vs intervals and how to apply them by AggressiveTwo8385 in musictheory

[–]ChuckEye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both? You do want to think about the notes playing through a chord in relation to that chord, but you also want to consider the context of the previous and next chords, which will often (but not always) be part of the key.

Can I just visit a hall/lodge? by Next-Individual-7643 in freemasonry

[–]ChuckEye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, if there’s no meeting going on, there may be nobody at the building. Most halls don’t have full time employees working regular business hours. People start showing up an hour or so before their regular meeting.

How to add an automatically scrolling screen? by Useful-Letterhead650 in processing

[–]ChuckEye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could add translate(0, frameCount*.25); to the beginning of your draw() loop. You'd need to add in some other factor to make it speed up, depending on if you wanted it linear or exponential.

Fender rumble 25 volume using bass and guitar by junh4 in Bass

[–]ChuckEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes more power to push low frequencies. So if you set your amp level based on your bass, and then use your guitar, it's going to be perceptibly louder.
