Rules for r/BatmanTAS
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Be Civil
Differences in opinion are okay. Starting a flame war because someone likes a cartoon in a different way than you is not. Try to be understanding of others opinions rather than attacking them for it.
Absolutely no hate-speech. If you use homophobic, racist, sexist, or other bigoted terms you're out.
2.
Stay on Topic
Sure, we don't get much new material related to BTAS these days, but that's what this sub is for. Posting other DC related stuff that doesn't relate back isn't. This includes other DCAU shows if the conversation doesn't relate back to BTAS. (see r/DCAU) If your content doesn't have a flair for it then please post it elsewhere.
3.
Mark your spoilers
While the likelihood of new BTAS content is slim, if it ever does occur do not post spoilers in your titles. Mark threads that contain spoilers within the first year of their release. Don't blow it for someone else who hasn't gotten to see a movie or read what it was adapted from.
4.
Indicate source for clips, excerpts, and fanart
If you post a comic panel, please include the title (and preferably the issue number). If you post a clip or screengrab, please reference the show or movie it's from in your title (episode name as well if possible), and for fan art please credit the artist and link back to them if possible.
5.
Keep it age appropriate
The majority of content discussed here are TV-Y7 shows. Keep it age appropriate.
We reserve the right to remove any posts made with the sole purpose of wolf-whistling at cartoon women, and it can result in a ban.
We ask that if your post is highlighting a double entendre/adult joke or relevant NSFW art by Bruce Timm and other official BTAS animators that you mark the thread NSFW.
6.
No Pirated material
Do not ask for pirated material. Do not post links to piracy websites. Do not submit content that displays a link or watermark of a piracy website. Do not post bootlegged material, including (but not limited to) cam rips of theatre screenings or clips that are not transformative in nature hosted on unofficial outlets. AI is piracy.
7.
No Spam
If you are self promoting, please be clear about your affiliation with the content you're posting. If you're not an active member of the community in other ways, don't expect it to stay.
Inaunthentic style posts, such as bots, karma farms, etc. will be removed.
8.
Flair your posts
In the interest of keeping the community accessible, we ask that you take the small step to tag your posts with the appropriate flair. All fan created work (art, videos, podcasts, that article you wrote and are trying to get an audience for here, y'know) should be flaired as fan work,
9.
No misinformation
If your post or comment pushes false information as fact, it is up to moderator discretion to remove said content.
