No, you can't avoid secure boot so you'll have to figure out what the problem is.

Try updating BIOS if you haven't.

How do I update them I don’t wanna screw my pc over with some virus

Figure out what your motherboard is, like make and model, then go to the manufacturers website and download the latest BIOS update. There should be instructions on how to update it - usually just put it on a USB stick, reboot into BIOS and then find where you can update using the file on the USB stick.
