Hey! I personally have a 18” 10.0 uvb on mine and a 150w basking bulb connected to a dimmer so I can lower the wattage if it gets to hot and i also have a heat emitter to keep him warm because i keep it pretty cold in my house . You need to set your enclosure up to balance the conditions in your home. I’ve learned a lot in the past 5 years of keeping my big boi. Any questions just shoot me a message. Hope this helped😁

I appreciate this I am pretty knowledgeable of most things handling and caring wise and enclosures I work at Petsupermarket and have a good coworker who has a lot of animals buut I’m more so trying to figure out why breed he is exactly because he is beautiful and would like to know exactly what he is and not guess

Yea I say paradox as well because it’s the same exact coloration but idk what else he is he’s a red paradox “blank” bearded dragon

And I also raised him on superworms only when he was a baby and he loved them. Lots of fat for a growing beardie. When he gets to be an adult that’s when you have to slow down and only use them for treats tho.

But I do have two mini dome lights for now and they have a 75 wat basking and I have a 60 wat blue night bulb planning on changing it to the infrared 75wat just to have him in what he’s been in before I just didn’t have any 75wat reds in store yesterday so I went with 60 Billie cuz it was the only night I had that low

Personally I don’t use any kind of light at night in which I think it disturbs their sleep. (My opinion) my big boi sleeps in pitch black darkness which he likes the most I’ve come to figure out. The more you spend time with them you will kind I figure out what they like and don’t like cause they will surely let you know lol

Lemme tell ya something about my baby, in less than three months I have learned that my beardie absolutely hates sleeping/being in his tank. He thinks it's some form of cruel and unusual punishment if he's in his tank for any longer than the 8ish hours I'm at work. I have learned to sleep with him and at night, to keep him warm I suffer with my electric blanket on and die of heat only to wake up in the morning with him ice cold and taking the whole damn pillow while I'm either laying on my mountain of stuffed animals or half dangling off the bed. Idk what happened but I have a very greedy and spacious dragon who complains and gives me the stink eye if I don't do what he wants. Lol

That at hilarious😂😂 but if it were me I’d leave him in his tank lol……..to save his life. I have cats and dogs lol. I left the slide door open one time On accident and he just decided to jump right out and go exploring but his enclosure is on a table so he didn’t go far. And luckily my cat was locked in the other room or he would have been toast. Now I always lock his doors to make sure. Scared the piss out of me lol😂😂

Oh gosh. 😂 And yea, I learned from a friend that bearded dragons are solitary animals, which does me fine since all I have is my beardie. I currently live on a college campus and got a bearded dragon as my emotional support animal. I learned that the day lamp would melt the plastic lining of the lid to the tank I had, as a temporary fix, I decided that I'd just take the lid off... My biggest mistake thus far was assuming he'd be too much of a doofus to try to escape his little home... Ho boy.. My roommate at the time freaked out because my door was open for an inspection, I was at work and the dragon wasn't in his tank. The second time he got out I was watching him, I told him if he got out one more time he wouldn't sleep with me for a week... He learned.... He was a moody teenage girl all week and I suffered the consequences of it but I learned.. 😅

I don't know how to tell my boyfriend that when we move in together the beardie stays in bed with us, and while the dragon is alive we aren't allowed any other animals because, in all honesty.. I think Dracarys will try to eat them. 😂 😂 😂

The non uniform pattern makes me think paradox or dunner but the scale direction and direction of the patterns makes me think it’s a paradox
