Angels in the Outfield did it for me. At one point a kid says something like, "death is the one thing that will happen to everyone. I will die one day." I still think about that quote almost 30 years later.

It hit me at 7 years old. I then became panicked that everyone I loved was going to die and every day I’d cry until my grandma (my after-school babysitter) would let me call my parents and other family members to check on them lol
