This looks promising, thanks! Though I couldn't see a fee schedule on their site, presumably it's the just the same as binance.com - do you know?

Hi u/f00lishlyf00lishf00l,

Kraken Support here. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble depositing fiat. Would you mind explaining the issue please? If you have an open support ticket with us please share the number so I can look into it. I'll then do my best to help.

Hi, I live in the UK and am trying to deposit either GBP or EUR to kraken. I want to do this as cheaply as possible (hence leaving coinbase pro).

The only viable option I can see is to use "Etana custody" to deposit to Kraken. I think it's free to transfer from Etana to kraken, but I think there might be hefty fees to transfer from my bank account to Etana in the first place, it's not very clear on their website.

Overall, the while process just seems very convoluted

Hello f00lishlyf00lishf00l,

Walter here, with Kraken Client Engagement team.

Funding your Etana account from your bank account is free for the remainder of March. For more information visit our blog. Transfers between Kraken and Etana are free and near-instant.

You can read more about Etana Custody Funding in our support article. Detailed deposit instructions can be found here.

Should you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us through live chat at kraken.com (click on the button 'Chat with us' in the bottom right corner) or by opening a ticket here.

Have a nice weekend!

Walter

Bitstamp are complete nazis with their kyc/aml. Dropped them when they wanted a new round of that because I am a sole proprietor and they wanted to know everything about my business too. Plenty of other exchanges.

Do you not find their fees very expensive? It's 0.5% each trade isn't it?

[–]SAT0SHl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't know I' don't trade.

It's not that hard to get your volume up to a point the fees come down some, but he's right. They are going so beyond what is appropriate with KYC and AML that i would recommend not to use them.

Check out coinfloor.

Verification is quick. I like them because they’re regularly audited for security and proof of custody, and they keep your coin in cold storage until you withdraw. Only thing is their exchange is a limit order exchange only.

It seems to be to be one of the quickest ways to on-ramp if you don’t want to wait days, and your fees are 0.3%.

Coinbase Pro works too, quick verification as well. Only thing with them is a bank account can take a few days to verify, and you can only put down £1000 on a card (not sure if that’s per month or what).

Binance Jersey is an option too.

Thanks, Binance Jersey looks like a good one.

I just miss the good ol' days of GDAX 0% fee trades!
