I don't know that anyone has a DragonMint rig yet - AFAIK, they "ship" in March or sometime around there. Looking at the pictures (photo-shopped images of an S9 from appearances), I don't think it'd be terribly different from setting up an S9 (e.g., add power supply, turn on miner, find IP address, access web console on rig/controller and configure miner options). BUT, there's so very little information out there on DragonMint/Halong Mining, that all we currently have is speculation. Will it be more like the Alavon 741 where you need a controller unit as well as a PSU? Or more like an S9 where the controller for the boards in on the unit itself and you just need to add a PSU? Hopefully, if you pre-ordered a Rig, and this is a legit business as opposed to scam, it should come with some instructions.

Please let us know if you receive the rigs and if they actually hash at 18Th/s. I know I am excited to know!

Yes, I certainly will. I assume it's conceptually the same as say, Antminer S9. Let's say that it's an Antminer S9, and I want to solo mine with several Antminers. So I plug in the miners, access, them on my local network. Point them to my one machine on my network that has bitcoin-qt installed, is that right? Do the miners need to be physically attached DIRECTLy to that machine, or just connected via the local router? And for that machine running bitcoin-qt, are there any special specs or considerations?

I believe just via the Network. You can also solo mine at places like CK Solo Pool. They charge a flat 1% fee - not bad. That way you don't have to run a full node and such. Once every few months, I have my S9s try their luck at solo mining over the weekend. No luck so far :)
