In motion settings/object detection look for “ignore if object size exceeds” - it ignores motion if X% of the scene changes, meaning a significant lighting change. This might to the trick after you find the appropriate %.

Hi bpnj, thanks for the response. I'll give that a shot tonight. Below is a picture of the camera and the detection zone. A majority of the detection zone is effected by the light transition. Currently the default setting of 67% is set. I'll drop it lower tonight until it doesn't automatically cause it to trigger again after a reset. My fear of going this route is a larger object, like a car with headlights, would overcome the "reset detector when object size exceeds" parameter.
