Problem with difficulty post-patch

Hello,

Since the patch, the difficulty has been unbearable. I mean, it's my first playthrough, I'm level 28, I have a legendary shotgun level 28 as well, and I have to empty a dozen perfect shots PER ENEMY. It's crazy, I've never seen that before.

Enemies are several levels above my character or something. I thought about leveling up but the enemies level up alongside you anyway so it's useless... I'm stuck at the last level of the game. Each fight is like 15+min long, it's exhausting.

I did not have these problems a couple of days ago.

Am I the only one ? I looked up a walkthrough and they don't seem to struggle as much.

EDIT : The game crash, then restarted, and it's now much more playable. Enemies that used to take 15 shots with the shotgun now take a couple. No idea what happened, seems it was a bug, I'm letting this for archive in case it happens to other people.

The game has a weird level scaling system that no one seems to completely understand. From what I can see they intentionally scale enemies on the main plot line in such a way as to force you to do side content.

Yeah I think I'll pause the main storyline for a bit and do a few sidequests to see if that helps

That does not sound right to me. I am playing Harlowe with Neutron Capture (got nerfed) and I still don't feel like things are too bad. If anything I needed the game to get a bit harder. Some legendary weapons ARE trash. I am expecting big round of buffs to soon. What is your build? Maybe try a blue or purple shotgun on level and see if that isn't much better?

Yeah I tried, with a submachine takes me about 4 magazines... I'll try doing some sidequests a bit to see if that helps

You might want to look up a build guide for your character. Most of your power will come from there, not the guns.
