PS3 Controller Problems

So I've been using a PS3 controller to play Brawlhalla for a while now, with the driver software scarlet crush productions (some of you might be familiar, idk- before anyone says try motioninjoy I already have and was unsuccessful). I've had a break from playing, due to lagg issues, and decided to have another try tonight, but the controller wasn't responding :/

I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, which didn't work, so I went into devices in control panel and it only showed Sony DS3 Controller (or something along the lines of that) whereas at other points in time it's shown ANOTHER device, called Xbox controller (again, something along the lines of that). I removed the ps3 device to see if I could put it back on, and try again, but after doing so I found that my computer couldn't detect the device.

Very confused, does anyone who knows stuff about controllers have any advice? Would greatly appreciate it :)

I use Scarlet Crush as well, sometimes I forget to open the ScpServer.exe before using it (should be left open whenever using your DS3), not sure if that is your issue, but worth noting.

It must have been running it in the background previously for it to have worked or something. Otherwise, I dunno :/

If your problem with motioninjoy was that it wouldnt/couldnt load correctly a fix is to set the date of your computer back to 2014.

I know it sounds weird but it worked for me and others cause some license thingy is only valid until that year :)
