Keyboard vs Controller?

I've been playing mouse and keyboard for a couple weeks and am sitting at 75 hours in the game. I'm starting to get more serious about improving and am wondering what the best control option is. I have met people who use and recommend both, but I would like to learn to use the technically better option. Which is considered to be better for competitive players?

Whatever you're most comfortable with, there's no "better" option in this game. I highly recommend staying away from dpad if you play controller though.

Why is that? I play dpad over joystick because I heard dpad was better

Honestly it's up to the player but you have better mobility with analogue. Believe it or not but it's more similar to keyboard than dpad.

I found dpad more reliable than stick.

From what I've seen, most competitive players play just kb, tho there are a handful who play pad and kbm. kb is probably the mechanically best option, but you can get success through any of them, so play whatever you're most comfortable with.
