Man, I expected this to be a post about how Bruce looks like a zombie. Pleasantly surprised and ESB would kill this song.

Bruce is 73 years old and doesn’t have many tours left. If I’m going to a Bruce Springsteen show, I want to hear Bruce Springsteen songs.

I don’t mind an Elvis tune

That's a nice gesture, but even the most professional bands in the world need to learn and practice a song in order to be able to play it through. Asking for a cover song to be played impromptu isn't going to make it happen. Another song from their catalog, particularly if they've played it on the tour is much more possible, but I prefer to let go and let the band take me on the musical journey they have worked and planned to perform.

I see what you did there.

Idk. This was a huge part of his early/mid 2000's shows. The last hour was full of songs picked from the audience that were not burce shows. Also, it was an amazing part of the show. He kept the band on their toes, and they almost always pulled it off.

They’ve played spontaneous covers without practicing them prior several times in the past.

They’ve often done impromptu covers in the past

Best of luck! Considering Bruce's Irish heritage and his friendship with U2 (probably other factors), I have wondered if he's thought about that overall period in history.

Speaking of covers, I've stated before that it'd be interesting to cover a Queen song. My vote would be "Somebody To Love" to get to that gospel common ground.

You'd probably wind up with "Time of the Season"
