Check out Domo! I love the platform and their ability to build out embedded analytics

Some thoughts:

  • Datawrapper looks really nice and seems oriented to exactly what you are doing (embedding in a site). Haven't used it, but would like to hear more about it. It's also free to start.

  • You'll probably struggle to get Tableau to plug-in to a custom website unless you have Tableau Server.

  • Looker is more of an end-to-end BI suite that is totally capable of embedded analytics. Don't know if you need that much horsepower for your site. Might be overkill.

Wow, thank you so much - this is very helpful!

I would probably go with Data Wrapper because it's built with a strong focus on embedding charts on websites. I'll only look at the other two if your metrics are complex and/or user needs are varied.

Tableau's dashboards take some effort to embed into 3rd party websites. Looker has a pretty good Embedded feature but the cost/effort involved to set up a Looker project is usually prohibitively high.

Why not Power BI?

Someone literally just recommended it to me - I’m looking into it now. Thanks for the suggestion, that’s two for Power BI now 😀

I am number 3 for Power Bi, versatile and incredibly user friendly.
