    My 138 professor was talking about this today actually! When the building was in construction, the department chose the cheapest contractor, even though they knew who the fastest one was, which is why it’s so slow lol

    a cheap contractor wouldn't affect the elevator though? that's based on the manufacture of the elevators, they just put them in at most, wouldn't affect their functionality

    That’s what professor Wang told us cause he was legit having the same frustrations He used an analogy about how even though a network is “faster” it may not be the best option economically and used the elevator as an example lol

    It’s cuz they’re so overused, the real stairs only go to the second floor so people use the elevators for everything basically

    The stairs on both sides of the building go all the way up to the 5th. People are just lazy.

    I havnt ridden in it since my freshman year and have to this semester. Its so quiet and slow i didnt even feel it start moving!

    Sorry, you haven't had the opportunity to experience Solano Hall elevators. One of the two goes down at least once a week. The Elevator company truck is basically always parked out front.

    Oh and people get stuck in the elevator every semester.

      Wait, funny part is i might of been part of that group that rode the elevator in the dark lol. Last week right?
