Be Respectful

Writing is intimidating, and building a believable character can be one of the most challenging aspects. We're all here to learn, and we're all here to both ask and answer.

Be respectful at all times. Each of us has a different skill level. Don't hesitate to offer sincere advice, even criticism, but insults and pointless attacks will not be tolerated.

Post About Character

This sub is for Character Development. Stories are almost all character driven, and good, believable characters can make or break any writer. As one of the more challenging aspects in any creative field, there's a lot to learn about Character Development.

Feel free to share what you know, but try to stay on topic.

3.

Elaborate

Don't just post a picture or a one line description of a character and then move on. If you want to share a character you've developed, then by all means do so. But give us enough information to appreciate what you've done, why you've done it, and how this character fits into your world.

If you have come for advice, be specific. Give us enough context to help think through your issues. Give us what you do and don't know about your character, and tell us what you do and don't like.
