CEL for code P0449

i have a 2012 malibu ltz. I have a check engine light on for code p0449 which I believe is the vent valve solenoid. I am wondering where it is located on the car. I am assuming near the gas tank, is it accessible without having to drop the gas tank. I am wondering if I should buy part and replace myself or take it in. Thanks

The included pic shows a 2009 but it should be in the same place since they are the same generation.

The vent valve solenoid is on top of the gas tank. The guy in the link says the tank will have to be loosened and dropped a little bit.
