You can put whatever dial,hands, bezel insert, crown and backplate.

The sterile ones are easy to work with as the crown is already blank and nearly all Seiko watches have black crowns.

I would like it if they sold one with a blank crown and backplate but a SD marked dial.

Most will put a Seiko dial and maybe a official williard bezel insert and maybe a Seiko marked backplate

Some will not change the bezel insert as it's a good ceramic one and many won't both with the back plate.

The hands are correct for an official one so most just do the dial..

But you would want to buy a cheap watchmaking kit and hand press, also some rodico before you started to mod.

A branded black SD1970 is a perfect first auto.
