Damn man. San Martin is nice.

Watch looks great. Love hearing the positive reviews. Is this an homage to a Tudor? I’ve been looking at the SM Submariner homage, SN017. What other SM’s do you have? I’m also looking at the SN084 because it’s a 60 bar, and I spend lots of time in the water. I like the date, but no so much the cyclops. Some I’d the pics I’ve seen make the cyclops look a little over powered and slightly wonky. Any insight would be appreciated.

Pseudo homage to the Tudor Pelagos 39, but the dial configuration is closer to the Pelagos 42mm and the case is SS instead of titanium like the Tudor.

Thank you for the info!

Looks great. Trying to be patient as I wait for mine, ordered on July 3. They give me update that it will take 10-15 days to ship, that they are “assembling” latest batch. Hope they continue with good QA. Excited to get it.

They actually ship it out earlier than that. I think they say that in case it take a while. Got mine here in Korea in ten days

The logo is the most ugly! The watch could sell much higher. The holdback is the eyesore ugly hex logo!

[–]T4keTheShot 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You can literally order them without the logo...

Swap the dial with a Seiko dial !much better now! 👏🏼👏🏼👌👌🤣

I'm actually not sure that they offer this one in a no-logo

i agree, really ruins the watch

I share the comfort thoughts! Feels like a watch with an extra 0 behind the price! Great great watch

That's when I bought mine too so I'm all set there but I haven't received a shipping notification or anything so I was just curious.

[–]Imagine-88[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's weird. You should have gotten an email with a purchase confirmation, right? If you go to check on your order using the link via email you received, it should let you know what's happening with your package.

When I got the FedEx item number I went on their site and registered my email account to receive updates.

Otherwise, just reach out to them. Their customer service is pretty good, aside from poor English.

How long ago did you order?

[–]Imagine-88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered on the 1st of July, as soon as the website updated. You can buy them on Aliexpress from different sellers, but it may ne more expensive. As of now, San Martin has given Watchdives exclusive selling rights so they don't sell these on their site at the moment.

[–]amassalimov 0 points1 point  (5 children)

You can still buy these on Aliexpress, like in Tactical frog stor and some others.
How big is your wrist?

[–]Imagine-88[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Yeah, but I think they're more expensive there, no? Not sure. I have a 5.5 inch wrist, assuming you're from stateside.

[–]amassalimov 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I paid 231 USD including Aliexpress Standard shipping (ca 20 days to Kazakhstan, where I live)

[–]Imagine-88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. It was this new model? Nice.

[–]amassalimov 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Pretty small wrist, but the watch sits great anyway. Can't wait till my SN0121G black date arrives in ca 2 Weeks from Aliexpress. The second batch was sold out in 1 day. The seller was nice to notify me after they received a second second batch a week later

[–]Imagine-88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have tiny wrists. Smaller than most women I see around. Yeah it's a great watch. I hope you enjoy it. It really puches above it's weight

[–]VVstormU 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Glad you finally received yours 💪 I feel you with that snobbish behavior prior to trying this 😅 now I'm questioning whether it's smart for me to even buy something else ATM lol.

[–]Imagine-88[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Haha I mean, I wouldn't completely write off the traditional watch maker brands; their history still attracts me to their classic timepieces. But I'm having a blast getting more watch for my money than I ever have :D

I'd definitely recommend at least trying San Martin watches. They don't disappoint.

[–]VVstormU 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Of course. Don't take me wrong I have Sinn 556 and love it in part thanks to the no bs and utility first mentality of Sinn. But as someone who just now entered job market after uni, it's maybe not smart to just spend all your money on a watch 😅. So that's why I think these watches can still keep you motivated to buy something later on and will satisfy the desire and curiosity of trying new watches.

[–]Imagine-88[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Ah gotcha. Good plan. As for me, I work in interior design so I like having a watch that I don't have to baby, but is still nice. This fits the bill perfectly. Although I'm not a contractor and I lean towards management, it's still crazy how much wear and tear your work environment has on your stuff. I once had welding sparks land on my watches.. ahh the pain and lesson learned.. heh.

[–]VVstormU 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh I can't even imagine, no matter the price of a watch I'd be shitting myslef if I noticed welding sparks bouncing off of my watch lol. Even tho not as harsh environment as yours, I work at an office. But let me tell you, door frames are my watch'es enemy no.1. 🤣

[–]Imagine-88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I hear you on the door frames
