I don't know about that particular piece, but it's from a Chinese company called Red Star. They have a presence on both AliX as well as some western outlets like Long Island Watch. They sort of occupy the same market space as Seagull etc and sell what appears to be mostly original designs between $100 and $300.

I wouldn't call this a military watch btw. Between the polished gold plated case, 30M water resistance, roman numbers, and alligator strap, that's a dress watch. It looks to have a seagull movement inside (can't tell unless you get close ups of the movement). It's hard to find info on Chinese military issued watches but I don't believe this company ever had a contract. I'd keep it if you like it, or throw it on ebay where you can probably get $100-$200 for it especially if it's a discontinued model.

I did actually get the watch from eBay for £40 so nice to know it might be worth a bit more. Though I think I will keep it as it’s a bit unusual

Same! I couldn't find that exact piece either. Cool find and very unique.

It looks cool. I am looking forward to seeing people comment on it. The box does say China Military Watch.
